About Root Road:
In a world where much of the music is birthed out of negative feelings, broken relationships, and hopelessness,Root Road has emerged as a group that has chosen to convey a more positive outlook on life. Root Road is comprised of three brothers; John, Anthony, and Nathanael Gilkes. These brothers have been writing and performing their own music for almost over seven years. During this time the band has performed many places, including musical appearances on cable T.V. and at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
ROOT ROAD has just completed their second full length CD entitled "I Am Here", under their former name “G3 Band”. The album I Am Here is an artistic illustration of spiritual growth gained through a Christ centered view of life's many experiences. In late 2004, under the former name G3 BAND, Root Road also released their debut CD entitled "Masterpiece". Their music closely resembles classic, "feel good" rock n' roll heavily influenced by the message found in Contemporary Christian and Gospel music. Root Road hopes that their music reaches people of all walks of faith and beliefs and leaves a positive influence on each listener's life.
Root Road is taking a who new challenge in 2009 by relocating to Tennessee around the Nashville area. With fantastic reviews from professional organizations like Band With A Mission and Taxi, Root Road is full of confidence knowing that they have what it takes to be professional. They plan to increase the number of performances and work harder than ever. They are prepared to face what is over the horizon and excited to fulfill the musical dreams that God has placed in their hearts to become independent artists who will eventually share their music with the world.
